Above Data is a data aggregation platform that offers a number of datasets tracking real-time data across various sectors. Our first collaboration with Above Data focuses on financed agriculture & construction equipment transactions. The data is collected through standardized forms filed with US state agencies that record finance activity associated with acquiring new or used equipment. Above Data has standardized and mapped the data to numerous public and private equipment manufacturers.

Launched in late 2022 by former sell-side analyst Ajit Agrawal, AKAnomics takes a very unique approach to modeling revenue trends for hard to track companies in the Industrials, Chemicals, Manufacturing and Logistics verticals. The vendor uses publicly available macro economic indices (eg auto production, new home construction, building permits etc), breaks them down into regional indices tracking distinct end markets, and then models them against division level KPIs estimates reported by public companies. Coverage is approaching 100 companies and continues to steadily expand. The customized indices can also be used to understand macro– or sector– level trends.

Apeiron tracks customer switching patterns in the wireless industry across the US, Canada & all the main European markets, covering all the main (public and private) telcos. Switching data is tracked through the ingestion, cleansing & aggregation at scale of wireless exhaust routing data (changes in routing decisions made by carriers to terminate a call/message). The data tracks customer switching from one carrier to another and can provide near real-time insights into market trends and share shifts, in both postpaid and prepaid markets. Apeiron currently has US wireless subscriber data on the platform, with plans to add Canadian and European carriers in the coming months. APR FCST represents Apeiron's research team's triangulation of their granular data into quarterly KPI forecasts for Net adds, Gross adds and Churn for the publicly listed wireless carriers and Cable MVNOs in the US. The KPI numbers are updated weekly, but align with quarterly KPI reports from the companies, while the underlying switching data can be updated daily.

Bloomberg Second Measure provides a US credit and debit card panel comprising between 4-8MM users, with history going back to 2013. Second Measure sources this data from similar entities to those of competing Credit/Debit Card resellers, though the underlying tagging, panel selection, normalization and error correction approaches can cause significant differences from merchant-to-merchant vs its peers. The BBG SECM panel is mapped to both merchants as well as tickers. We will typically de-duplicate on our side to ensure a company’s feed is not counted twice during sector or sub-sector aggregations. The schema is simple, with four distinct indices to track dollar spend, transactions, unique users and average transaction price. Second Measure uses only one normalization method, whose details are kept proprietary but is philosophically pegged to the number of active cards in the panel, as opposed to the “% of total panel spend” approach.

Babel Street is the largest provider of publicly available data collections and products to the public & private sectors. Their Refined Self-Storage dataset is just the first among several investor-focused aggregated data product offerings that we plan to launch in the coming months, including pricing across dozens of top e-commerce retailers. BSD STRG contains data on the regular and sales prices to rent standard 10x10-foot units across all locations from the top storage brands, in addition to Location Availability & Revenue Capacity. This includes tracking Rent per Square Foot and Total Revenue for CUBE, PSA and EXR. We’re looking to also ingest a variety of other datasets from Babel Street this year, including eCommerce Retail Pricing data from dozens of top US eComm sites.

Advan measures mobility data into retail locations as well as corporate facilities (office, malls, factories, warehouses etc). The data is collected through SDKs installed in various apps, which enable geolocation tagging at frequent intervals. While Advan has data outside the US as well, the international panels are relatively small at this point. Retail foot traffic data is often complimentary to transactional data, albeit delivered with a shorter 1-2 day lag. The facilities data follows employee traffic to measure business or production activity in areas that would otherwise be extremely difficult to track. Recent vehicle mobility products tracks consumer and facility traffic via GPS signal originating from 8.5 million connected vehicles.
